SaSTA

Welcome to SaSTA, Canberra's Safety and Security Training Academy.

Training Rooms

Our four modern, well appointed training rooms are located in easy to access Fyshwick, with plenty of free all day parking available nearby.   Our students enjoy attractive and functional learning spaces.  A large reception and enrolment area is adjacent to a kitchen with tea and coffee making facilities and a microwave, and a networking area with comfortable seating and cafe-style tables and chairs.   This area offers students a welcoming space to take meal breaks or chat with classmates.

The four classrooms of varying size accommodate around fifteen, twenty, twenty five and fifty students respectively.   Each classroom boasts a data projector and wired internet and telephone connections to enable students and trainers to use multimedia to enhance the learning experience.    The largest classroom has removable protective rubber mats laid when students are engaged in physical learning activities such as defensive tactics training and first aid resuscitation practice.

Our programs are delivered during the daytime, evenings and weekends to accommodate students in the workforce, or people looking for personal development and personal interest programs to undertake in their leisure time.

Our rooms are also available for rent by individuals and organisations for meetings, conferences and training events.    Rates are available by request.

Safety and Security Training Academy

We love to ski.  All our training rooms are named after ski resorts we have skied or visited.  But at SaSTA, SKI has another, more important, meaning:

Skills

Knowledge

Information

We train and educate so that our students leave SaSTA with new skills, knowledge and information they can use in the workplace or in their personal lives.  They know what they are supposed to be doing, under what circumstances it is supposed to be done, where to do it, and how it is to be done properly.
